Deep Purification
(Former “Second Level Course”)
This Course of 8 Days (48 hours total) addresses the Third Level of Spiritual Life, which encompasses the third stage of our spiritual journey of growth: the deep purification, transformation in Christ and new maturity.
The Course explains the necessary teaching regarding a central transition in Spiritual Life: the crossing over of the proficient into a mature spiritual age. The author of the letter to the Hebrews alludes to this teaching when he states: “There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain” (He 5:11-14). Saint Paul says that spiritual food is initially “milk” and then becomes “solid food” (see 1 Cor 3:1-3). The Lord presents to us this deepening state as offered to all: “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth.” (John 16:12-13).
The course, furthermore, helps us discern what has been achieved so far, and addresses the change in the way God communicates with us in our prayer life: rich food for discernment. We will learn how to understand and how to prepare ourselves to receive the new mode God uses to deal with us to make us become spiritually adult and responsible in our Christian life. We will study the radical purification God wants to bring about in us. As a result, not only will our definition of holiness appear with greater clarity, but so will God’s mysterious new ways of dealing with us.
Whoever wants to follow this Course is free to do so, but we firmly recommend that the Solid Foundations 000 at least be followed first. This Course however is a rare opportunity for the advanced and proficients to find such teaching.
