Spending a day with Saint Elisabeth of the Trinity learning to discover her writings, doctrine and spirituality.

Who was Elisabeth of the Trinity?
Elisabeth of the Trinity was a French Carmelite nun. She was born in 1880 in Bourges, France. At the age of 21 she entered the Carmelite monastery in Dijon, and five years later she died, on 9 November 1906, at the age of 26.
Although she is less familiar than her compatriot St Thérèse of the Child Jesus, Elisabeth deserves to be known for the depth of her life and the clarity of her message. She is more discreet, and her emphasis is above all on interiority. Her spiritual doctrine is remarkably rich and invites thoughtful exploration. As she herself expressed it:
“I think that in Heaven my mission will be to draw souls by helping them to go out of themselves in order to cling to God by a wholly simple and loving movement, and to keep them in this great silence within which will allow God to communicate Himself to them and to transform them into Himself.”
