Dear Friends,
Blessed Solemnity to all. Mgr. Keith Barltrop is going to hold a short evening session in St. Mary of the Angels Church on Wed 11th Dec, 7-8pm. The idea is to acknowledge the Year of the Word by raising awareness of the Liturgy of the Word during Mass.
During this meeting I will first briefly explain the Sacramentality of the Proclamation of the Word, in order to improve our participation in the Liturgy of the Word. This will be done from the readers’ perspective and also from that of the people attending Mass. We will be reading that day’s readings, focusing on meditative repetition in order to discover how the grace of God works during the first part of the Mass.
We are aware that we are giving very short notice and that the busy period of Christmas is upon us, but please try, if you can, to attend this important spiritual exercise of awareness and adoration of the Word of God.
Some refreshments will be served in the Newman Room afterwards.
